About Me.
I am a public health researcher and social scientist passionate about advancing health equity through innovative research methods, policy development, and community engagement. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health, I focus on understanding and addressing the complex relationships between social determinants of health, mental health, and healthy aging across the life course.
My research bridges multiple disciplines, combining sociology, epidemiology, and public health approaches to tackle pressing health challenges. My dissertation work on healthy aging trajectories has provided valuable insights into how life events and social factors shape health outcomes. Currently, I lead projects examining Black youth mental health policy, environmental health justice, and community-based approaches to health equity.
As the founder of Asé Analytics, I collaborate with organizations to translate research into actionable policies and programs. My expertise in mixed-methods research, policy analysis, and community-based participatory research allows me to develop comprehensive solutions that address health disparities and promote social justice.
I am deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of researchers and practitioners. Through my roles as a Science Policy Scholar-in-Residence with the National Science Policy Network and various leadership positions in professional organizations, I work to create pathways for diverse voices in public health and policy.
When I'm not conducting research or advocating for health equity, I engage in science communication and public engagement, sharing insights through podcasts, publications, and speaking engagements. I believe in the power of translating complex research into accessible knowledge that can drive meaningful change in communities.
